Please join us for breakfast and our annual discussion of important legal developments that affect employers, which will include these topics:
- New legislation for 2023, including the expansion of the California Family Rights Act, new bereavement leave required by law, rules regarding the disclosure of pay ranges to job applicants, new restrictions on actions based on the use of cannabis, and restrictions on monitoring of employees outside work hours
- Wage and hour developments, including court decisions regarding meal periods and rest breaks, and suitable seating requirements
- Discrimination, harassment and retaliation developments, including court decisions regarding the burden of proof in retaliation cases and evolving standards of liability in hostile environment claims
- Arbitration developments, including new decisions from federal and state courts, and HR 4445
- Privacy developments, including the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act
