FREE First Fridays at San Mateo County History Museum
The San Mateo County History Museum continues its FREE First Fridays program each month. Admission free the entire day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
During FREE First Fridays, two programs are planned for the public without any fees. At 11 a.m., children can join Museum staff to learn about various history and culture. The topics are often tied into specific events.
Youngsters can create a craft project related to the topic and later, enjoy story time in one of the galleries, where Museum staff reads a book relevant to the current historical or cultural event.
At 2 p.m., Museum docents will lead a tour of the museum for adults.
The San Mateo County History Museum is located at 2200 Broadway within the 115-year-old "Old Courthouse" in Redwood City. It features exhibits related to the use of natural resources, suburban development, ethnic experience, and entrepreneurial achievement on the Peninsula from the time of Ohlone Indian through today.
The Museum is open every day except Monday, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
FREE First Fridays program is sponsored by Monterra Credit Union.
