Private Practice Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine

Dr. Wuchenich is a board-certified internist practicing in the model of Direct Primary Care in San Mateo. He attended medical school at Loma Linda University, and completed residencies at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Internal Medicine and Leadership Preventive Medicine, while obtaining a Masters of Public Health from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. Since then, he's practiced full-time clinical medicine; prior to returning to California in 2019, he worked at a critical access hospital in rural New Hampshire, a community medical center in Everett, Washington, and most recently, a large academic institution in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He will cover the major types of preventive measures that are recommended, the difficulties in translating population health measures into meaningful individual exercises, and the adaptations and emerging technology that can safely and effectively keep you up-to-date with your screening.
Takeaways:
- Tailoring preventive health screening to the characteristics of individuals makes the whole process more useful
- He will show you a number of useful (and free!) risk calculators to help make informed choices
- Having a personal relationship with a physician can help address the intangible factors that calculators miss
